The 2028 U23 Asian Cup serves as the qualifying tournament for the men's football at the Los Angeles Olympics within the Asian zone. Within the national U23 squad, there are several athletes who are of the age eligible for the new generation Olympic Team, including Wang Yudong, Kui Jiwén, Mao Weijie, Yi Mulan, He Yiran, Yang Xi, and Peng Xiao, all from the 2005-2006 age bracket. These players share a rapport with Antonio, suggesting they are poised to take on the more demanding format of the competition.
